Ownership
- You retain all rights in the images/files you upload. We don’t claim ownership of your content.
Limited license to fulfill your order
- You grant us (and our production partners) a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, adapt (e.g., crop, resize, color-correct), and distribute your files solely to make and deliver your ordered products.
Optional showcase permission
- You can opt in at checkout to let us display photos of your finished product (e.g., on our site or social). You can withdraw consent by emailing hello@pickandprint.ca with your order number; we’ll remove future uses and take down prior posts where reasonably possible.
Your responsibilities
By uploading, you confirm that:
- You own the content or have all necessary permissions/licenses to use it for print on products.
- You have consent from identifiable people in the images (e.g., model/likeness consent).
- Your content doesn’t infringe IP, privacy, or publicity rights; isn’t illegal, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or pornographic.
Third-party IP (logos, characters, brands, sports teams, etc.)
- Personal/non-commercial use does not automatically make it lawful. If your artwork includes third-party IP, you are responsible for ensuring your use is permitted.
- For commercial or for-profit uses (e.g., resale, business promotion, bulk merch), you must obtain the appropriate license/permission from the rights holder. We may ask for proof and can decline or cancel an order if permissions aren’t clear.
- We won’t knowingly produce items that obviously infringe third-party rights, and we may refuse or cancel such orders at our discretion.
Our right to refuse
- We may decline, cancel, or remove content that violates these rules or applicable law. If cancellation occurs before production, we’ll refund you.
Our creative work
- Our mockups, templates, and layouts remain our intellectual property. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, vectorizations/edits we create are for production; source files are not included.
AI & automated tools (if used)
- We may use software—including AI-assisted background cleanup or enhancements—to prepare your image for print. We do not use customer uploads to train public models.
File handling & retention
- We keep upload files only as long as necessary to fulfill your order, handle support, and meet legal/accounting obligations: You vector portrait file we’ll be available on your My Account page and saved on your designs and you are able to delete this file or reuse it later.
- Request deletion at hello@pickandprint.ca with your order number; we’ll delete production copies unless we must retain them for legal reasons.
Takedown process (copyright/IP)
- If you believe your rights are infringed, email hello@pickandprint.ca with:
- (1) your contact info;
- (2) a description/URL of the content;
- (3) proof you own or represent the rights;
- (4) a statement of good-faith belief.
- We’ll review and respond promptly, which may include removing or disabling the content and contacting the customer who supplied it.
Indemnity & limits
- You agree to indemnify us for losses arising from claims that your uploads violate these rules or others’ rights, to the extent permitted by law.
- Our liability relating to your content is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order.
